Lieu-dit and soil type: Py de Bullat. Granitic sands and gravel with variable proportion of clay. Sub-soil developed from the disintegration of Fleurie’s granitic rock mass.
Terroir & savoir-faire:
Varietal: 100% Gamay
Altitude: 450 m
Age of the vines: 50 to 70 years
Harvest: manual in small crates of 35 kg
Vinification: grape transfer by gravity. Whole bunch, no added SO2. 13-day maceration with a daily pump over (remontage) and one gentle crushing (foulage). Manual devatting and gentle pressing
Aging: 8-10 mois in stainless steel tank
Tasting
Explosive nose that unveils aromas of purple flowers – pleasant lasting acidity supported by a pronounced tannic structure.
Cellaring potential: 5 to 10 years
