Lieu-dit and soil type: Haute-Ronze – granitic sands and gravel with variable proportion of clay. Sub-soil developed from the disintegration of Fleurie’s granitic rock mass.

VARIETAL — 100% Gamay

AGE OF VINES — 50 years

HARVEST — hand-picked in small crates of 35kg.

WINEMAKING — Grape transfer by gravity. Whole bunch, no added SO2. 17-day maceration with a daily pump over (remontage) and two gentle crushings (foulage). Manual devatting and gentle pressing.

AGING — 8-10 months – 30% in stainless steel vat, 70% in sandstone amphoras

A lot of depth in this wine and a lovely acidity. Black fruits and liquorice aromas. Length and complexity. Long guard.
